About these terms

Ask 4 (ask4.online) is a free site where people ask for software recommendations, makers add their products as answers and the community votes for the best ones. It also hosts a ranking of indie hackers. The site is run by Manuel Somoza Vázquez. By using it you accept these terms. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Your account

• You log in with your Google account. You must be at least 14 years old.
• One person, one account. Don’t create extra accounts, for example to vote more than once.
• You are responsible for what happens with your account.

What you publish

You are responsible for the questions, products and other content you publish. It must be accurate, and you must have the right to publish it, including logos and screenshots. You keep the rights to your content and let us show it on the site, free of charge, for as long as it is published.

Rules

When you use Ask 4, don’t:

• Post spam, misleading products or content that is illegal or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Manipulate votes, for example with several accounts or by offering something in exchange for votes.
• Pretend to be someone else.
• Attack the site, overload it or copy its content in bulk with automated tools.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

The indie hacker ranking

• To join the ranking you log in with Google and connect your X account. Your X name, username and profile picture, and the categories you choose, are shown publicly in the ranking.
• Votes are shown only as totals. You can’t vote for yourself.
• You can leave the ranking at any time from your spot. Your spot and the votes it received are deleted.
• The ranking reflects the community’s votes, not our opinion or endorsement.

Links to other sites

Products and indie hackers link to other websites and X profiles. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them.

The service

Ask 4 is free and provided as it is. We may change it, pause it or close it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by using the site or by content that other users publish.

Ending your use

You can stop using Ask 4 at any time. To delete your account and everything you published, write to support@ask4.online.

Changes and applicable law

If we change these terms, we will update them here and change the date at the top. These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law of your country gives you. For any question, write to support@ask4.online.
